Seasonal Public Safety Aide

Public Safety Aides are utilized as civilian support staff within the Services Division of the Ocean City Police Department. Generally, PSA's are deployed in one of two capacities: Meter Enforecement and Booking Staff. PSA'a assigned to Booking are responsible for the processing, safety and security of adult and juvenile prisoners. PSA's also perform facility maintenance, interact with the genreal public and Distrcit Court, and assist other divisions of the agency with specail events and projects.


Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 17 1/2 years old, and;
  • Graduate High School by June of the year in which employment begins

Application & Testing Process

  • Testing dates posted on the Employment Calendar (Police Employment Testing)
  • Seasonal employment ends in late September to early October
  • Applications must be post marked no later than March 25, 2007

$10.98 per hour
